Wheelchair accessible caravan and motor homes

Wheelabout's dream is now a reality and an Australian first. The company has just extended its fleet of wheelchair accessible vehicles to include an accessible caravan and an accessible motor home, with more vehicles in the pipeline. The aim was to offer people with disabilities the choice of an accessible vehicle and accessible accommodation in one package.
"We believe the world is full of possibilities and words such as 'you can't do that' are not in our vocabulary. This is why our most recent project has been to acquire several camping vehicles, so people with disability now have the option of an affordable outdoor holiday with their own accessible accommodation onboard." Tom McKenzie, Wheelabout's 'Go Anywhere' man
Craig Stevens, a Wheelabout director and avid traveller, who is also a quadriplegic, has road tested the accessible vehicles, which have been custom designed to Wheelabout's specifications for ease of access.
The fully wheelchair accessible, turbo diesel Iveco motor home includes an L-Track lifting system for assisted transfers and a see-through Ricon lift that provides easy access as well as better vision for wheelchair passengers.
The other option is caravanning with Wheelabout's converted wheelchair accessible two berth caravan. The caravan is fitted with wheelchair ramp access and the L-Track lifting system for easy transfers.
So now you can take off on the holiday of a lifetime, with the freedom to follow your own itinerary, or simply explore Australia with no set agenda.
