- Accessible National Parks NSW
- The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has published an online guide to wheelchair-friendly national parks and reserves. Over 60 national parks and reserves across NSW have facilities for people with disabilities. They range from specially designed boardwalks, lookout platforms and information displays, to wheelchair-accessible showers and toilets.
- Access Sydney
- The easy guide to easy access in Australia's largest city. Compiled by the Australian Quadriplegic Association, Access Sydney provides comprehensive information about access to buildings and transport of all kinds. Almost 1,000 facilities, including leading hotels, restaurants, retail outlets and tourist venues are listed.
- Access The Best - Guide to the Blue Mountains
- Escape the uncertainty of travel, explore ancient landscapes, experience villages, fine food and art. The Blue Mountains offers a vast array of attractions and many facilities are accessible to people with restricted mobility. Access The Best is a valuable source of information for people with disabilities, available on the Web, as a cassette version or printed Guide Book.
- City of Sydney Access Maps
- A series of interactive maps showing accessible on-street parking, accessible public toilets, audible traffic signals, accessible ATM's, and TTY telephones. Each map has a zoom feature to assist with obtaining specific information of interest to people with disabilities, their families and carers. The maps were compiled using information sourced from the Australian Quadriplegic Association.
- City Rail (NSW) Station Facilities
- A comprehensive searchable database listing results by railway station and/or type of access facility (eg hearing loop, wheelchair access toilet/pay phone/car spaces, escalator, elevator, proximity of taxi rank/bus stop etc).
- Easy Adventures around Port Stephens
- An online guide for people with mobility restrictions. This map will help you find accessible accommodation, shoping and medical facilities as well as suggestions for short walks, fishing, sightseeing, lookouts and adventures around Nelson Bay, Port Stephens, Australia. Site includes free downloadable access maps of the area.
- Illawarra Easy Access Guide
- The Easy Access Guide is available in print or audio for people needing special requirements for accommodation, recreation and dining.
- Look at the Book (NSW)
- An information guide about places to visit, local attractions, recreational activities, restaurants and accessible accommodation in the Wollongong to Newcastle regions of NSW, Australia. Enquiries 1300 303 213.
- Penrith Valley Access Guide
- Information on accessibility around Penrith and St Mary's compiled by the Penrith Disabilities Resource Centre Inc. The guide includes many local businesses and services (eg churches, clubs, council buildings, shops, restaurents) that have been audited by volunteers from the PDRC.
- Snowy Access
- An accessibility guide to the Snowy Mountains, NSW Australia, Directory includes access information about local accommodation, activities and attractions.
- Sydney Online Visitors Bureau
- The central reservations service of the Visitors Bureau provides information on a range of accommodation options for Sydney, Parramatta, Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley. Some of the entries mention wheelchair accessible rooms eg the Menzies.
- Travellers Aid - Sydney
- A volunteer group based at Sydney Railway Central Station (Room G9, Platform 1) offering assistance to travellers with a disability. They can help people boarding and alighting trains, and can negotiate with State Rail to make the trip as easy as possible for people with special needs. - Wheely Good Access Guide To Sydney
- This pocket sized guide provides an up-to-date resource for people who are less mobile. The author has surveyed wheelchair and general access around Sydney's most popular tourist areas, including Manly Beach through to the city centre, North Sydney and Bondi Beach, providing maps and information on transport options, activities, accommodation, theatres, restaurants, shopping centres and parking. 10% of the profits are donated to the Sinal Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for spinal research. - Access Melbourne
- Access Melbourne is an information guide to Melbourne for people with a disability. The focus of this website is for people with mobility-related disabilities and difficulties in negotiating the physical environment, although the needs of other groups are also considered. It covers the central city area and the Central Business District in particular and includes information about accessible routes and pathways, toilets, parking and telephones, as well as an events page advertising wheelchair accessible entertainment.
- Accessing Melbourne [PDF 3.4 MB]
- A visitor information guide to Melbourne for people with a disability. This 200 page guide was written by Bruce cameron and is available for download in PDF format from the Easy Access Australia web site.
- Accessible Transport

- City Eating Guide
- This guide is designed to take the hassle out of choosing somewhere to eat in the City of Melbourne, by providing basic access information for 88 eateries. As well as details on the type of food, price range and opening hours, the guide also covers a variety of access considerations such as floor surface, provision of accessible toilets, lighting and background noise. Published in 2005, the guide can be downlaoded in MS Word and PDF formats.
- Travellers Aid - Melbourne, Victoria
- The Travellers Aid Society of Victoria was founded in 1916 to welcome and assist travellers arriving in Melbourne. They provide support, advice and assistance at the point of need to people in emergency situations and people with special requirements, including travel information, attendant care services and general support to people with disabilities who want to be more independent when they visit Melbourne.
