Accessible Home Exchange Holidays
We have tried to give an overview of accessibility features, based on information available to us from the service providers and/or people with disabilities/carers who have recommended the facility. - Accessible House Hosting Australia (AHHA)
- A new web site whose goal is to connect people with a physical disability living in wheelchair-accessible housing with one another. This (free) member based online community was set up by Irene Chapman of Wheelie Easy and is a Vicnet My Connected Community group.
- Exchange Homes
- An international listing of vacation homes, including properties that are wheelchair accessible.
- Green Theme International (GTI)
- A listing of home exchange vacations worldwide, including an advanced search that provides many options such as disability access and seniors/Over 55's accommodation.
- Home base Holidays
- A home exchange club established in 1985. The web site has a detailed search option for international home listings, that includes provision for disability access and seniors.
- Home Exchange:
- An open system for finding home exchange partners - includes a section for seniors as well as listings of accessible homes in countries around the world.
- Independent Living Vacation Exchange:
- The Institute on Independent Living is a Swedish not-for-profit organisation, that includes amongst its services a searchable database for house swopping.
- Matching Houses:
- Matching Houses is an international holiday house exchange service where you can swap houses with people who have the same accessibility needs as you.
- Seniors Home Exchange
- The Seniors Vacation And Home Exchange program is exclusively for people in the over 50 age group. It allows you to do a straight vacation exchange of your home, or exchange hospitality vacations. You visit with them and, in return, they visit with you.
- Special Families Home Swap Register
- The register is run by the Special Families Trust, a charity in the South West of England supporting children with physical disabilities and their families. The home exchange service provides a tremendous array of holiday and long weekend breaks, where people can feel confident that the accomodation will suit their access needs.
