Turny Evo (Bev low profile) Seat
Description
Turny Evo (Bev low profile) Seat
- The BraunAbility Turny Evo seat affords a disabled person the opportunity to travel as a passenger rather than cargo on a wheelchair in the rear of a van.
- The seat is controlled by a handset that allows it to turn and travel outside the vehicle to a level where a wheelchair-bound person can be transferred and lifted back into the car.
- This seat had been installed in a Subaru Forester when my wife was unable to stand and required three people to manoeuvre her into a vehicle.
- This seat allows the disabled passenger to slide from their wheelchair and be lifted into the car in a comfortable seat.
- After months of rehab, my wife can now stand and turn to get into a car so the Turny Evo is surplus to our needs.
- It has now been removed from the car, a Subaru Forester.
- There are some scratches on the base plastic surround but these do not detract from the seat's operation.
- To my knowledge, there are two installers in NSW: Mobility Engineering at Asquith, and Incar Installations at Fairy Meadow.
- The price, negotiable, appears steep but a new one will cost in the vicinity of $30000.
- And what price do you put on dignity?
- The pick-up is from North Nowra.
- It is in two pieces, a base and a seat.
- The base is heavy, c. 90kg, so you'll need a strong offsider to pick it up.
- The seat has similar dimensions to any modern front seat and the base is about 68cm x 50cm.
